On March 20, the State Board of Education approved the Library Media Frameworks-Revised 2013 for use beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year. Copies of the frameworks are available at http://www.arkansased.org/divisions/learning-services/curriculum-and-instruction/frameworks/curriculum_categories/library-media.
On May 7, from 12:30pm – 2:30pm the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will host a webinar (powered by Adobe Connect) to introduce and explain the newly revised frameworks. Those responsible for the implementation of these frameworks are encouraged to attend this webinar. The link to this webinar is: http://ardoe.adobeconnect.com/lmf/
Those who have never attended an Adobe Connect meeting before should test their connection at: http://ardoe.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm. For a quick overview go to: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect.html.
Presentation materials will be posted at http://www.arkansased.org/divisions/learning-services/curriculum-and-instruction/resource-materials-for-lesson-plans/statewide-presentation-materials by noon on Monday, May 5. Participants are asked to either download or print the presentation materials and bring them to the session.
For those unable to attend May 7, the session will be recorded and posted on the ADE Curriculum and Instruction page (group) in the Arkansas Digital Sandbox at http://adesandbox.arkansas.gov/akdsb/findlogin.php.
