On April 10, 2012, the Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education (DCCECE) released the 2012-13 Arkansas Better Chance (ABC) grant application/reallocation of ABC slots in designated areas. Through ABC, DCCECE encourages the development of quality early childhood education programs to help at-risk children develop intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally in order to be prepared for kindergarten. Use of ABC grant funds is limited to the establishment and operation of a high-quality early childhood program.
The grant is available on the DHS website at Arkansas Better Chance (ßdouble click hyperlink).
All grants must be received in the ABC office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012. An original copy of the certification/signature page must arrive in the ABC office by the deadline in order for your application to be considered complete.
