Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, teachers who hold an Early Childhood Special Education P-4 Teaching License will be allowed to teach Special Education at the additional grade levels of five and six.
It will not be necessary for teachers to complete an ALP or for school districts to secure a waiver to employ these teachers out of their licensure area as long as they are not teaching beyond the sixth grade level.
